Workshop on Developmental Robotics

The workshop will provide a comprehensive introduction to the robot platforms and research methods of developmental robotics. In addition, invited speakers will describe their recent findings from work on language acquisition, social interaction, perceptual and cognitive development, and motor skill acquisition.

Welcome to EyeTracKids 2012 Conference, the 5th international developmental psychology eye tracking methods conference organized by Tobii. The principal goal of this conference is to serve as a meeting point between developmental psychology researchers who use or are considering using eye tracking in their research. We invite you, as a developmental psychology researcher interested in eye tracking, to this one-day conference to learn more about eye tracking as a technology and methodology. International researchers will present their work during the conference and share experiences and insights on how they use eye tracking in their research. Baby FACS Workshop

Oster’s Baby FACS (Facial Action Coding System for Infants and Young Children) is a modification for infants and young children of Ekman, Friesen, & Hager’s fine-grained, anatomically based adult FACS. The Baby FACS manual has recently been revised, with new photo and video illustrations of basic Baby FACS Action Units and distinctive infant facial expressions. Strategies for coding varying intensities and configurations of positive and negative affect expressions will be presented. This is an introductory workshop; prior FACS training is not required.
