Touches In Sample - How many touches to simulate per sample. Max value of 999.
Samples Required- How many samples to gather and test against either the intra or inter category rules. Max value of 99999. (Not recommended)
Items In Category X- The number of items group X will contain if you press the Define Category button. Max value of 999.
Define Category- Creates a category containing a number of items specified in Items In Category X. There is no system enforced maximum number of categories.
Delete Category- Removes the selected category from the list. Simply click on a category from the list to select it.
Touches- How many same-category touches must be made satisfy the rule.
Unique- How many different items must have been touched to satisfy the rule.
Category- What category the items must be from to satisfy the rule. A category of '0' will use any category to satisfy the rule.
Define Special Case- Takes the numbers from your input to create a special case that will be tested when you hit the Intra-Category Go Button.
Delete Special Case - Remove the selected special case from the Intra-category rules box. Simply click on a rule to select it.
Match All- All rules in the rule box must be met before a run is considered a success. Probabilities tend to hit slightly low (By a few percent) during a Match All run. Correcting the error causes the check to slow to a point of uselessness.
Match Order- Rules must be met in the order they appear in the rule box to be considered a success.
Go- Starts the test for the Intra-Category rules.
Return X Times- How many times the simulation must leave and return to a category to be a success.
Within Y Touches- How many touches the simulation has to complete the leave/return cycle.
To Category Z- What category the simulation must return to. A category of '0' will use any category to satisfy the rule.
Define Special Case- Create a special case from your input to add a special case that will be tested when you hit the Inter-Category Go Button.
Delete Special Case- Remove the selected special case from the Inter-category rules box. Simply click on a rule to select it
Match In Order- Rules must be met in the order they appear in the rule box to be considered a success. A category of '0' will take the first category that satisfies the rule, which sometimes is not the optimal choice. Again, fixing this error slows the check down to the point of uselessness. It is not recommended to use category '0' while testing with "Match In Order".
Go- Starts the test for the Inter-Category rules.
Display Touches?- Show the touches for the next run in the display window when checked. If you have already run the test, it is too late to see the touches. In order to file dump touches you must have displayed the touches. Not displaying touches can significantly speed up the simulation.
Probability Of Special Cases- The number of samples that met the rule requirements divided by total number of samples. An estimate of the chance of those rules being met by random.
Done- A progress meter on how many of the samples have been completed, and how many are left, expressed graphically.
Output Box- Where touches are displayed if the Display Touches check box is selected.
Reset Form- Resets the form back to the default values.
Print Touches To File- Brings up the dialog box to dump the touches in the Output Box to a file.
Path- The path to put the touches file dump. IE, "C:\" or "C:\Touch\" The name of the file is always "TouchStat.txt". If no path is specified, TouchStat.txt is created in the directory that contains the program itself (Touch.exe).
Columns- The number of columns you would like to have in the text dump of the touches. One will make for easy cutting and pasting of entire samples, while two or more will cut down on wasted printer paper.
Print- Begins the file dump to the path specified in Path. The file name is always "TouchStat.txt".
